JAPANESE PAPER DOLLS (Washi Ningyo)
This style of dollmaking originated in Japan more than three centuries ago.
Hundreds of these dolls were made based on characters from the famous Kabuki Theatre.
They depict many folk cultures, traditions, social classes and historic periods.
Following tradition, my dolls do not have eyes, noses or mouths because; it is said that the facial expression changes to the imagination of the owner.
