This self-guided tour is free of charge. The artists of St. Thomas and Elgin wish to invite you to explore their work and to learn more about the creative process. Watch for the flags at each location! Tour brochures are available at the St. Thomas-Elgin Public Art Centre, 301 Talbot St. St. Thomas and Romantic Designs Artist Studio, 120 Wellington St.
Over 50 Artists are participating in this tour at various locations – with Romantic Designs Artist Studio featuring 8. Take in the splendor and artistic talents that make Elgin and St.Thomas a “Hub for Artists”.

SPRING HAS SPRUNG!
Come learn how to make and take home your own Garden Sculpture. This is a perfect project for someone who has never sculpted and an extension to someone who has. We begin with the construction of an armature, from there we wrap and flesh out the body, dress and finish up with hair and embellishments. All this in a one-day class!
When: Saturday, April 27 9am to 5pm
Where: Romantic Designs Artist Studio – 120 Wellington St. St. Thomas
Cost : $80 ( includes all materials and tools needed to complete your project. Bring your own lunch and we supply coffee, tea, pop and water.)

Students will create their own Garden Mermaid
What: The object is to get comfortable with the medium, and have fun while you are doing it. Classes will highlight: line drawing, cross-hatching, contour lines, shape, shadow and tone. Over the two evenings, students will complete a elegant Lighthouse drawing ready for framing. All levels of expertise are welcome.
